About Us

From Heather

SALTZAH Collective was born out of a life fully lived—messy, beautiful, painful, joyful, and wildly resilient.

I’ve spent decades holding many roles at once: mother to six incredible humans, grandmother, caregiver, animal collector, gardener, artist, entrepreneur, adventurer, soldier, speaker, and witness to both deep loss and extraordinary healing. I’ve learned that life doesn’t unfold in straight lines. It bends. It breaks. It surprises you. And somehow, if you stay open, it also keeps offering extraordinary wonder.

This collective exists because I believe in gathering—around stories, around tables, on the trail, around firelight and open water. I believe in creating spaces where people don’t have to perform or pretend, where one can be messy and honesty is welcomed, creativity is stirred, and growth feels both safe and brave.

SALTZAH is for the ones who’ve been forged by life, who still choose joy, who are curious, courageous, and a little untamed. It’s for those who know that healing and adventure can live side by side—something I’ve learned through divorce & loss, through the days I felt I was breaking over and over again. That beauty can be both soft and fierce. That there is more life waiting, no matter how many chapters you’ve already lived, this is not the end. There’s a whole wide world waiting for you!

Incredible, magnificent, phenomenal, ineffable YOU—a brilliant work of art.

This is not a brand to me. It’s an offering. A gathering place. A shared breath. A space where we all learn we have no quit in us. I’m so glad you’re here :heart:Love,Heather

From Amy

If you’re gonna be hanging out with me you should probably know a little about me! I relish the human experience! I am curious, compassionate & don’t take myself too seriously. I am passionate, feel deeply and thrive on new experiences & beautiful interactions between strangers. I am constantly learning & changing my mind as I experience new cultures and perspectives.  I love hearing people’s stories. Everyone is different & fascinating to me. I am passionate about handcrafted works- from artisan bread to art to architecture. I enjoy creating & the creations of others. My taste buds need fresh vegetables from the garden or farmer’s market, foods made with intention & love & I relish trying new ingredients & textures! I wake up every morning humbly grateful to be alive & don’t want to waste a moment.

The lifelines of my heart are my 3 sons.
I want to spread kindness, gratefulness & childlike curiosity with my life & through my work.
I can be too loud & clumsy.
I am outgoing but need personal space.
I am self reflective & understand this is a luxury .
If I want to do something, I do it.
I love myself & treat myself accordingly.
I am by no means perfect & am ever evolving.
I do not take my life circumstances for granted.
I question everything.
Because I travel a lot with a backpack only, my clothes don’t typically reflect my style but rather practically & utilitarianism.
I make my decisions based on the current situation, justice, & love not because of laws, books or society.
I am a justice seeker.
I despise gossip.
A deep conversation about grief, trauma etc. can be a part of my casual conversation.
I’m usually prepared for worst case scenario.
I accept rides from strangers.
I thrive on new environments but also need familiarities (like a great latte’).
I have a really hard time learning new languages and am trying!
I ask lots of “why” questions which can be taken defensively but I just enjoy breaking down thought processes.
I embrace change.
As long as I can use my legs to walk, I walk vs. transportation.
I am filled with joy not because I haven’t experienced grief but because I have.
My motto is,”I’m not afraid of dying. I’m afraid of dying without having truly lived.”

✦ How It All Started

It Started With a Single Conversation

A few years ago, we looked at our lives and noticed something uncomfortable. We were busy, we were productive, we were “fine” — but we weren’t really living. We were postponing the trips, skipping the gatherings, waiting for the “right time” that never seemed to arrive. Fear had quietly become the loudest voice in the room.

So we made a decision — together, as sisters do — to say yes. To the trip that felt too extravagant. To the gathering that felt too vulnerable. To the adventure that felt too scary. And something shifted. Not just for us, but for the women who came along.

SALTZAH Collective grew out of that shift. What began as a small group of women choosing joy together became a full community — with events, excursions, retreats, classes, and a membership built on the radical belief that everyone deserves to experience life fully, regardless of their budget, background, or level of fear.

We didn’t want to build another organization. We wanted to build a family.

✦ What We Offer

The Faces Behind the Collective

We are sisters, friends, travel companions, and the two goofiest people you’ll ever meet at a retreat. We didn’t set out to build a company.

✦ What We Stand For

Our Mission, Our Values, Our Promise.

To bring people together through joyful experiences, meaningful adventures, and a community where everyone, regardless of background or budget, has a seat at the table.

Joy Is Non-Negotiable

We don't treat joy as a reward for hard work or a luxury for the privileged. Joy is a practice, a choice, and a birthright. We build every event, trip, and experience around it.

Inclusion Without Compromise

SALTZAH is open to all genders and backgrounds, with a heart especially for middle-aged women who have spent too long putting everyone else first. You belong here exactly as you ar

Community Over Competition

We are not a platform. We are a collective. That means we learn from each other, travel with each other, celebrate each other, and — when life gets hard — show up for each other.

No One Gets Left Behind

Our membership fees directly fund sponsorships for women who cannot afford to travel. Because the adventure is better when everyone gets to come.

Authenticity Always

We are two goofy sisters who cry at airports and laugh at themselves. We will never pretend to be more polished than we are. Real is our brand. Laughter is our logo.

Yes Is a Complete Sentence

We believe in saying yes to life — to the scary trip, to the new friendship, to the class you're not sure you're ready for. We'll be right there saying it with you.

Life Is Waiting. Say Yes.

Join a collective of people who choose joy, adventure, and each other, every single day. Your seat at the table is ready.
